Follow the northern sky and set out in search of one of Lapland’s most magical natural phenomena – the Aurora Borealis.

Your Northern Lights Hunting experience begins with your local guide, who follows the latest weather, cloud and aurora conditions to choose the most promising direction for the evening. Rather than staying in one fixed location, the aim is to search for the best possible conditions and give you the best opportunity to experience the Northern Lights.

As you journey through the landscapes surrounding Rovaniemi, you will discover the special atmosphere of Lapland after dark. Snow-covered forests, frozen landscapes and the vast Arctic sky create a beautiful setting for the evening – whether the aurora appears or not.

When suitable conditions are found, we stop to enjoy the surroundings and wait beneath the northern sky. Your guide will share stories and knowledge about the Northern Lights, Arctic nature and life in Finnish Lapland.

As the Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, their appearance, intensity and visibility can never be guaranteed. Weather and cloud cover can change quickly, and every evening in the Arctic is different. This unpredictability is also part of what makes seeing the aurora so extraordinary.
