Snowmobile Safari Night Tour

Experience the magic of Lapland after dark on a 1-hour snowmobile safari through the snowy forests around the Arctic Circle.

This is our classic Snowmobile Safari, but at night. Instead of riding under the Arctic daylight, you will explore the snowy forests in darkness, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere, the silence of the Arctic night and the beautiful winter landscape illuminated by the lights of your snowmobile.

Ride through the Arctic night

Your adventure begins at our snowmobile base, where our experienced guide will give you a clear driving and safety briefing and help you get comfortable with the snowmobile before setting off.

No previous snowmobile experience is required. Whether this is your first time riding a snowmobile or you already have experience, our guides will make sure you feel confident before we head into the forest.

Once everyone is ready, the adventure begins.

You will ride for approximately 1 hour through the snowy Arctic forests, enjoying the calm and peaceful atmosphere of Lapland at night. Along the way, we will make a few stops to enjoy the scenery, take photos and take in the beauty of the winter landscape.

We don't rush from one stop to the next. Our guides adapt the pace to the group and the conditions, giving you time to enjoy the experience rather than simply following a fixed schedule.

We use newest-generation snowmobiles, carefully maintained and prepared for Arctic conditions. Our professional guides have several years of real experience snowmobiling and leading tours in Lapland, and they know the trails and Arctic conditions well.

What about the Northern Lights?

This is not an Aurora hunting tour, but because we are out riding at night, there are often opportunities to see the Northern Lights when the conditions are right.

If the sky is clear and the Aurora appears while we are out on the trails, you might have the chance to see it dancing above the snowy forests.

And if we are lucky enough to see the Northern Lights during the safari, we will stay out longer to enjoy them at no extra charge. We don't want to rush back to the base while the sky is putting on a show. 😊

If seeing the Northern Lights is one of your main goals, we recommend booking this experience for a night when the sky forecast is clear. The Aurora is a natural phenomenon and can never be guaranteed, but clear skies give you a much better chance of seeing it.

Small groups. A more personal experience.

At SnowRide Lapland, we keep our groups small, with a maximum of 8 guests.

Unlike large operators that run massive groups and have to work to a very tight schedule, our small-group format allows our guides to focus on the people in front of them and adapt the pace of the experience to the group.

We also separate adult groups from family tours, allowing us to keep the experience more dynamic.

Groups of 8 or more are organised as a private experience with your own guide at no extra cost.

Quality from start to finish

We provide all the winter equipment you need, including high-quality thermal clothing, winter boots, gloves, helmet and balaclava, so you can stay warm and comfortable throughout the experience.

Pick-up and drop-off are available from all hotels and accommodations within 15 km of Rovaniemi city centre, including Airbnb apartments, Booking.com accommodations and other holiday rentals.

This tour is designed primarily for adults. Children over 140 cm can join as passengers behind an adult driver, subject to availability and the child's ability to hold on safely.

Experience the Arctic in a completely different way — ride through the snowy forests, enjoy the silence of the night and keep your eyes on the sky. You might even be lucky enough to see the Northern Lights along the way.

Ride through the night. Enjoy the silence. Maybe catch the Aurora. ❄️🛷
